I learned to sew from my Mother in 4th grade. She also made a lot of my clothes. At the time I wished for anything but homemade clothes but, when in Junior High School I learned the value of unique, original designs when my friends made comments or wanted to borrow my clothes.
I followed tradition and made many of my children's clothes and started a tradition of making special occasion and holiday clothes for each of my eighteen grandchildren.
I enjoy making vintage heirloom style clothing - handmade not homemade. A real complement for me is for a person to inquire "Where did you get that outfit?"

It's true! You are a great seamstress. Year after year, holiday after holiday I looked forward to seeing your daughters walk into church in their newly made dresses. These blessing dresses are wonderful.
